July Texture Project in Practice – Members’ Gallery
One of the best things about AppFrod Camera Club is seeing how differently each photographer responds to the same idea, and experiments with new things.
This month’s Texture project has encouraged members to look beyond the subject itself and think about how light, shadow, colour and composition can reveal the feel and character of a surface. Some photographed natural textures, others explored man-made materials, while a few found texture in unexpected places.
The galleries below showcase a selection of photographs made by members during these practical sessions. Together they demonstrate that there is no single ‘correct’ interpretation of the theme. Instead, they celebrate the creativity, observation and personal vision that make photography so rewarding.
Many of the images are experimental exercises in how to use light
